This co-operative venture of regions is focused on the achievement of an active role of those regions in the European Union, according to their competences and responsibilities.
The purpose of this website is to provide a link between the representatives of the regions with legislative power.
Since the 19th of November 2010, the Brussels-Capital Region holds the 2011 Presidency of REGLEG. The decision was enacted at the Zaragoza Summit. Jean-Luc Vanraes, Minister of the Brussels-Capital Region government, is its President.
The next annual conference will take place in Brussels on 29 & 30 November 2011, bringing together all the Presidents of member regions of the REGLEG network to make decisions, to agree on strategic actions for the network and to hand over the Presidency between the Brussels-Capital Region and Wien in the framework of a regional Trio.
Increasing the visibility of REGLEG is one of the objectives and priorities of the 2011 Presidency. That is why, since December 2010, you may follow all the activities of the network through a Newsletter. Published every quarter, it provides the latest from REGLEG over the last three months. Inside, there is all the latest information on the activities of the network, news from the Coordination Committee (CoCo) and also a section for the calendar and contacts.
